Taiyo Yuden DVD-R Media Error Rate
TYG02 versus TYG03 media
The two screen captures from Nero CD-DVD Speed "Disc Quality" test show
the difference in readback error rate on two different discs: the first
one is Taiyo Yuden 8x DVD-R, media code TYG02. The second is Taiyo
Yuden 16x DVD-R, media code TYG03. Both were burned in BENQ
DW1640 burner, firmware BSRB. Both were burned at 8x and read back at
4x speed. As you can see the error rate is dramatically higher on
the 16x TYG03 media.
